This type of post is something totally different than my normal health and fitness posts which I guess is why I added a “Life” page because I wanted to be able to write freely about anything!
In the past three weeks I have been to two weddings, my cousins and best friends! Now, ever since I was a little girl I have been in love with weddings, but what girl hasn’t been? I remember being around five years old and watching my parents wedding video every single day. I would watch my mom walk down the isle to meet my dad, I would cry every single time. I don’t know why I cried because I can’t imagine I understood what was really going on LOL.
2018 has been a year of growing for me. I have learned so much about myself and what I want in my future. Love being the number one thing I want most. I am surrounded by so many amazing couples who are so madly in love. And watching my cousin walk down the isle and then just yesterday watching one of my best friends walk down the isle to their husbands made me realize to NEVER settle for anyone who doesn’t make you feel so loved every single day. Witnessing the men get so emotional as they watch their wives walk down the isle to them is something I will cherish for the rest of my life.
I used to settle. I used to settle for fake friendships, shitty jobs that I hated, and relationships that I knew wasn’t right for me. Do I regret any of that? Absolutely not. Everything in life is a lesson, and it’s all a stepping stone for where you are meant to be in the future.
I think it is so important to NOT settle for a mediocre love, because you need to choose someone and choose a love where you feel so alive, where you get butterflies every single day, and choose a love with a person where you truly cannot see your life without this human being no matter what. Find a love that makes you feel like home, makes you smile every day, and a love that will never grow old. I know every day won’t be easy and no love and no person is perfect, but you can find that one person who can make life seem perfect.
Find that person who will give you their endless love and passion, someone who will sacrifice for you to make you happy every single day. Find that person that even though life isn’t easy and you aren’t perfect, they understand that and are still willing to be there at your lowest points and help you get to your highest points. Find that person who looks at you like you are the most beautiful person in the world. Find that person who will treat you with respect and kindness. Find that person that no matter what, at the end of the day, will be there for you. Find that person who will dream with you, build with you, encourage you, and be your best friend. And be that person for them, too.
Listen to your heart and never ever settle, because nothing good ever comes from settling.
