Water is absolutely ESSENTIAL… 60% of our body is made up of water and our blood is made up of 90% water.
Have a headache? Drink water.
Feel nauseous? Drink water.
Breaking out? Drink water.
Feel lightheaded? Drink water.
You drank a lot of water today? Drink more water.
Your water intake is so incredibly important. I advise my clients to drink AT LEAST one gallon per day. When you drink a lot of water, it’ll help you stay full, aids in weight loss, makes your skin clear, and it’ll help decrease your bloating.
I know water can get pretty boring especially when you are drinking that much, so I like to add BCAA’s or crystal light! And it can be pretty annoying carrying around a whole gallon of water so think of one gallon as eight water bottles or six shaker bottles.
It also can be pretty of difficult to get in a whole gallon of water a day, so I make sure I drink one glass or one water bottle right when I wake up, and then one during each meal, and I make sure I drink at least a couple of bottles during my workout. If you’re not used to drinking this much water, you and your kidneys probably won’t be used to it. You will be peeing constantly, but once your body adapts, it will be much easier to get in a whole gallon because your body will crave it.
Here are just a few benefits of drinking water:
- Flushes out toxins
- Promotes weight loss
- Decreases bloating
- Makes your skin clear
- Boosts immune system
- Prevents headaches
- Great for muscle recovery and building
- Increases brain function
- Helps prevent hangovers
- And the best one…

Drink water people! Your kidneys will love you.
Much Love,
Alex
